How long is the School Year?

Joyful Heart Fine Arts Micro School will follow a typical school schedule from August to May with breaks throughout the school year. Please see our calendar for breaks and dates.

What if my student is shy? Will this be a good fit?

Our environment will help shy children come out of their shell and blossom.

The cozy atmosphere of our home studio, smaller class sizes and consistent instruction from encouraging teachers will encourage children to grow their self-confidence.

We will encourage and not force children beyond their comfort level.

Amanda was a shy child, so she has compassion and insight into becoming more courageous and comfortable with sharing arts skills.

There is no homework in our program. We will suggest additional and supplemental study options.

We do not assign grades as part of our program. Parents are responsible for assigning grades. We provide a summary of the content and skills learned. You may include this in your transcripts/ school records.

How do we service a broad range of ages?

We believe that all children benefit from the presentation of higher-level content and all students learn from one another. Older students also get the opportunity to take on a leadership role.
